Kelsey Berndt

Associate

Kelsey graduated from Michigan State University in 2018 with her Bachelor's in Social Relations & Policy and Women's & Gender Studies, where she found a passion for advocating on the behalf of those in need. Kelsey then attended Penn State Law, receiving her Juris Doctorate in 2021.

During her time in law school, Kelsey interned at a legal aid clinic in Portland, Maine and the Penn State Law Family Law Clinic. This experience further emphasized Kelsey’s desire to help people in challenging situations find the best path forward and achieve their desires.

In addition to her internships, Kelsey served as an executive editor of the Arbitration Law Journal and on the board of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. Kelsey was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November 2021 and joined the firm as an associate immediately thereafter.

Kelsey's experience serving family law clients makes her a wonderful addition to any family law case. Whether you're going through a divorce, dealing with a child custody dispute, trying to navigate a support arrangement, or negotiating how to divide property with a partner, Kelsey has the experience and empathy to guide you towards an ideal outcome in your case.
