Bradley R. Kaye

Brad is respected by his peers for his tireless advocacy on behalf of his clients. He brings an honest and efficient approach to resolving any and all family law matters. Always having his client’s best interests in mind, Brad can work to resolve matters without court intervention but is also a stern litigator. Brad has represented clients in a myriad of issues including high-net divorce proceedings, support disputes, parentage issues, and orders of protection. After working at a well-respected north suburban family law firm, Brad joined The Law Offices of Jonathan Merel in June 2015 and has been an integral part of the team ever since.

Starting in 2019 and every year since, Brad has been recognized by his peers in the legal community as a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star, a distinction only awarded to 2.5 % of attorneys practicing nation-wide. Brad also maintains a perfect 10.0 on Avvo, the premier client review portal for lawyers.

Brad has lived in Chicago since 2006 (minus a 2-year hiatus in Austin, Texas, while working in the music festival industry). When not practicing law, Brad spends time mentoring area high school students with an interest in the law through the Chicago Bar Association’s Law and Debate Club. Brad also volunteers his time to the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.

While attending law school at DePaul University, Brad served as the President of the school’s Appellate Moot Court Society, won the school’s Honorable William J. Bauer Moot Court Competition, and traveled throughout the country placing in various competitions. In addition to oral advocacy, Brad also wrote for the school’s well-respected Business & Commercial Law Journal.
